BitcoinTreasuries.net names Hemi as Onchain Treasury and Finance Partner

$1.2 billion in total value. 90+ ecosystem partners. Programmable Bitcoin infrastructure built for institutional treasury workflows.

Today, BitcoinTreasuries.net is naming Hemi as our official On-chain Treasury and Finance Partner. Hemi, a modular Bitcoin Layer 2, lets institutions encode treasury logic against native BTC rather than synthetic claims.

The partnership focuses on three things our members have asked for repeatedly:

  • 🛠️ A framework for evaluating programmable Bitcoin infrastructure.

  • 🏗️ Reference architectures for treasury workflows that stay Bitcoin-anchored.

  • 📊 Case studies from institutions already deploying

"Our members track close to 6% of the total Bitcoin supply across corporate balance sheets, family offices, and institutional allocators," said Pete Rizzo, President of BitcoinTreasuries.net. "The most common question we have heard in 2026 is how to put it to work without giving it up. Hemi is one of the most credible answers we have seen."

Hemi launched on mainnet in March 2025 and crossed $1.2 billion in total value with 90+ ecosystem partners. Its virtual machine reads native Bitcoin data, which lets applications and treasury policies operate against real BTC activity. Audited tunnels move Bitcoin into Hemi for use across institutional DeFi venues and back to Bitcoin for settlement, with a clear audit trail at every step.

"We spent a decade getting Bitcoin onto institutional balance sheets," said Matt Roszak, co-founder at Hemi Labs. "The next decade is about making those balance sheets work. Every treasury holding Bitcoin eventually answers the same question. The wrong answer is wrapping it. The right answer is programmability that respects the underlying asset."

Joint research, masterclasses, and case studies will be published over the coming months, starting with a framework piece on how to evaluate Bitcoin-anchored treasury infrastructure.
